Need help - possibly a very sick clownfish

Hey guys... first post! I need some help with what may be a very sick little fish... : (



I have a clownfish that I've had for about 8 years now. He's been fine and active and a lot of fun for the past several years, but I noticed about two or three weeks ago that he had become extremely sluggish and stopped moving around very much, preferring to just hide in the corner of his tank. He would eat a bit, but not much. About a week and a half ago, he started swimming in one spot, and had his mouth open constantly. He had basically stopped eating at that point. I tried a water change to see if that would help, but to no avail.



I moved him into a quarantine tank and now he is breathing frantically, mouth open constantly, swimming rapidly in one spot at the surface of the water, and won't eat anything at all. He actually runs away from the food. I've tried reef flakes and dried shrimp. This has been going on for about four days now. His stomach is now sunken in... Also, he seems to have a big red.. something ... under his skin around his head. Not on the skin, under it. I don't know if that's his brain and I never noticed it, but it freaks me out. He's also losing color rapidly, and has a dull white streak on his yellow coloration and a red spot under his "chin"



What's wrong with him? Is there anything I can do, or is he too far gone? : (
