A few days ago I asked about the fins being torn on one my my maroons. Turned out it was the other maroon attacking it. I was told just to watch and observe it's normal. This all started Friday. Both have been in the tank about two months and came from LFS with about 10-15 other maroons in it. Both about 1 1/2 inch with aggressor being slightly bigger. The submissive one has some torn fins but not any worse really than a few days ago. Today he has been chasing the submissive one around the tank for hours so I just superatted them for the night with a breeder tank in main tank so they can still see each other. My question is should I have separated them and if not how long should I let them go at it before giving the one a rest. I haven't seen the so called shake but they have done the little fin kissing when I fed them earlier but the last few hours its just been chasing. Also how long does this dominance thing go on for. Aggressor is noticeably darker than submissive one now. Any advice would be appreciated.
