filter question again

I know i ask alot of questions on here and make alot of posts but i love this site, i do 90 percent of my research on here, and i do have a canister filter, people say ditch them, thats cool, but its what i have, but i plan on doing weekly cleanings and carbon replacement once a month, my question is, when i dump out the water in the filter and clean the filter its self, do i want to rinse the new carbon bags with fresh saltwater or RO water?
