Diy ato

Just installed my ATO today, pulled some ideas from some other diy designs and I'm fairly happy with it. I used 2 float switches from Amazon and the TOM aqua lifter pump. Cost me less than 30 dollars after the tubing. I wired the float switches in series with the coil of a 12v relay. I placed one switch at the water level and the other about 4 inches above the first. The lower switch operates the pump anytime the water level drops and the second switch will break the circuit and shut off the pump in the event that the pump gets stuck on, eliminating overflows. I'm impressed with the aqua lifter pump, virtually silent. The only way I know it's running is if I see the water flowing into the sump or I put my hand on it.
