Ammonia jump..advice

I had an ammonia jump the past day of somewhere between 0.25-0.5ppm.

FIRST - should I be super worried? I know ammonia is the worst of the 3 stages but is 0.25-0.5 in super need of immediate action?

SECOND - I just did a 5 gallon water change 2 hours ago and during that I cleaned the sand bed. (I also just did a water change yesterday of 2 gallons) I think I buried one of my hermits so I were sifting through it to try and find him. I think that may have brought my ammonia back to 0.25-0.5 just now. I am using zeolite but it doesn't seem to be working.

THIRD - Should I let it be for a day or two to see what happens? Should I get some of the chemical treatments that eliminate ammonia? (zeolite crystals SUCK!) I've been testing my water at least once a day if not twice...I really want to stay on top of things as they happen.

Tank had been up for a week now with livestock (cycle already happened). My clowns seem to be doing just fine, same with my hermits. No obvious signs of stress.

Today's cleaning was a thorough cleaning of the whole system. I cleaned the entire sump, the DT's glass, rocks and for the second time in 2 days the sand bed.
