Q about sw parameters obtained, load, salt, etc.

Guys, a couple questions if you don't mind...

170g tank, 50g sump has been up and running for 2.5 months now. I've slowly added livestock over the course of that time. Have 2 clams, couple of zoa's, 3 leathers, 2 anemone and 4 small fish, and a full CUC.

I've been monitoring water parameters over the last couple weeks:

CA-425

MG-1300

KH-8.1

nh-0.0

po34-0.25

no2-0.0

no3-0.0

ph-8.0

temp-78*

sg-1.025

The parameters look good to me, but frankly I'm using regular Instant Ocean salt, and not the IO Reef Crystals. Is the light load in the tank the reason the regular IO is holding up on mg, ca, and kh? Would I need to switch over to reef crystals once the load gets a little higher? I'm trying to figure out what the deal is with this setup, as it seems to defy what I've been told about the needs of the corals and clams.

Thank you.
