jbj ato problem

hey guys, I have had my jbj ato running for about 2 months or so only using one switch on the tank, and just using a petco pump under the tank in a 5gal bucket. my tank is a 20 long. in the last week I have had it fill the tank too much and almost overflow it. I noticed again tonight but it didn't get as high but higher than it should be. it was fine a few hours ago and I got home and it was high. any ideas?
