Starting up a 46 bowfront glass tank. I have a custom made oak cabinet about 3 feet high. I'm about half way through cycling my tank, nitrites are on their way down and nitrates are starting to rise. I kicked off the cycle with a now deceased molly. Nothing in tank but about 15 lbs of lr, and a 240 gph pump.
As I type, PVC cement is drying for the main part of the auto top off that I made, and silicone is drying in the 10g that's being converted to a sump.
Anyway, was thinking about adding an inline ro unit and / or do unit somewhere between the ato and the end of the sump return.
I've only heard of people using rodi before mixing their water. Any thoughts on this?
