Can't maintain alk with BRS 2-part

Hey folks,

I have a 75g mixed reef, mostly soft corals, with some small LPS frags, and 3 SPS frags, and a 3" derasa clam. I'd consider my load medium to low. However, I've been struggling to keep my alk level up using BRS 2-part. my tank measures:

6-7 dKH

400-440 Ca

I do a 15% WC every 2 weeks, and my fresh batch of saltwater generally measure:

9-10 dKh

400-420 Ca

I don't have a Magnesium kit, but I heavily dosed my tank with 400mL Mg over a month ago, and continually add a little Mg to my fresh saltwater mixes. I don't think this is a Mg deficiency since the fresh saltwater maintains their alk/Ca just fine, and I dose extra just to be safe.

I use BRS 2-part dosers, and dose about 20mL/daily (half in the morning before lights, half after lights off) near the return pump, per these recommendations: http://ift.tt/1jygVpe. I do notice small flakes when the alk solution hits the water, but that's supposedly expected and is soon sucked in a high-flow area (the return pump)

I've increased my dosing to 50-70mL/day which seemed to keep my alk stable around 7-8, but also caused a lot of precipitation and clumping of my GFO. I seem to have 2 options:

1) Dose little and unable to maintain alk

2) Dose more and maintain alk, but comes with precipitation and all sorts of problems

Neither options are attractive, am I doing something wrong? Recommendations? It's hard to believe my tank would need to consume 50mL+ daily, when I have 0 LPS/SPS colonies.
