Hey everyone.
In a dilemma, need some help. I have lost several angelfish in the past few months. The came in eating and looking good, but after a couple weeks, developed some foggy eyes and shortly after died.
Well about two weeks ago, I acquired a 4 inch blue face and a 5 inch French angel. Well what do you know, a few days ago, they each developed a cloudy eye. If I look real close, I can almost see small objects, that look like miniature ufo's or contact lenses.
I am thinking they are definitely flukes, and a 10 minute freshwater dip helped, but they are back.
I have read success stories on people using prazi pro in there DT. This is a fish only tank with live rock, no inverts or such.
My dilemma is about 10 days ago I set up a bio pellet reactor on the tank. I have gotten small bacterial blooms, which from what I understand, consumes oxygen. I am afraid if I turn skimmer off, which prazi says to do, I will lose a key piece of aeration.
So can I leave skimmer on, and just remove cup, so water and skimmate just fall back into sump?
