50 Gallon Breeder Lighting

I recently purchased a 50 Gallon breeder tank and wanted to get some recommendations on lighting. I thought about going to my LFS for advise (great people), however I feel like the "make a sale" opinion may influence what I really need.

My Budget for lighting is $400 or less (prefer no MH, as I've heard they produce a significant amount of heat and I don't have a chiller). I would also like something that I don't have to hang from the ceiling as my wife will cut me (not literally) if I have something hanging since it is in the living room.

New tank dimensions

36" x 18" x 18" - 50 gallons BREEDER (possible 1 1/2"-2" sand bed)

The site I've been using for reference is is the chart from marineandreef (don't have enough posts to provide direct link)

The site above recommended a T5 HO setup (6X39W). I am not a pro, but this seems like a lot considering the depth of the tank, wasn't sure of a 4x T5 HO setup would be sufficient.

Currently I have the "18"-24" Current USA Orbit Marine LED Light 18W" (love the features) on my little 10G with a 10G sump/refug. Have a small green bubble tipped anemone and a small six line and is thriving. 0 Ammonia/0 Nitrite/0 Nitrate and Phosphates.

Sorry if some of this is of topic, just want to make sure that I include as much information that may be relevant.

Types of corals/inhabitants I've been considering. Obviously I will not be getting all of these, these are just the once I've found appealing.

LPS Corals

Candy Cane

Hammer

Frogspawn

Torch

Polyps

Waving hand Xenia

Blue Sympodium

Mushroom

Lavender Rhodactis

Maybe a Gorgonia, Cauliflow Colt, Red Tip Tree, Chalice, Nepthea Tree

Thank you very much for your time, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
