Hi All,
I live in Indonesia and my tank has been running for about 4 months now. I started of with NSW but found out that there was too much pollution here. I changed to ATI salt and found that the magnesium and calcium was too low. Magnesium about 1170 and calcium about 380.
So now I changed to RedSea Coral Pro and thought this would be it! Now the manual says mixing it at 20 degrees which is impossible for me, the outside temperature is usually around 30 degrees, even at night its still pretty warm so it would require some chiller just to make the water. So I mix it too warm but would this really effect the parameters that much?
What I am seeing is at salinity of 1.025, my magnesium is 1170 and my calcium at 350. Tested with Salifert Testkit. Could this really because of the temperature difference?
My display tank has about the same parameters and I just added 2 x 500ml aquapharm magnesium and 2 x 500 ml calcium pro, testing again tomorrow.
