I am so frustrated with this issue!!!! So I transferred from a FOWLR to a reef two months ago. Now I have a 40 gallon breeder with a clown, nas snails cardnials fish and golden head goby. My tank didn't really need to be cycle because of the live rock and sand came from my last tank. But I played it safe and started slow. My tank went through a small cycle for a couple of days and the brown algae bloom afterwards. There is nothing now. My water perimeters is perfect now. I had it tested in 3 different LFS plus I tested them as well. It started when my hammer corals died and then my frogspawn died. My zoas started closing up as well both of them. My trumpet also looks like they are dying but they are holding on to dear life. I use to have a peppermint shrimp in the tank but I took him out because I thought he was the cause. I added another frogspawn and it died over night. The LFS do not know what it is.
My LED lights are Reef breeders value fixture. Channel 1 consists of 13 4500K neutral whites, 6 480nm blue, 6 420nm violet, and 2 660nm deep reds. Channel 2 consists of 28 450nm royal blues, for a 14k output with both channels at maximum intensity.
Channel 1 is at 40%
Channel 2 is at 40%
Both of the lights are running from 11 AM to 9 PM on a external timer.
I use the drip acclimation process when introducing anything to my tank and I also use ReVine Coral Cleaner to dip my corals before I introduce it to the tank.
I do weekly 15% water changes every week
I am running just carbon in my tank. Like I said before my water is perfect
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
