IDEA: Calc-Reactor solution collected then dosed (?)

As some of you know I lost a few choice chalices when my calc-reactor dripped so much Alk into the tank it spiked at 16 then slowly fell back to 9 over 2-3 weeks.



I'm now watching my final driprate into the tank to make sure it doesn't drip more than 1 drip per second.



Anyways.... I got to thinking.... what if I used my CalcReactor to drip solution into a container (and not the tank)??? Couldn't I collect enough stored solution and test it once a week and drip it into my tank at my own rate using a doser?



Anyone done this before? Help me brainstorm so I can avoid future CalcReator catastrophes....
