I am currently making a rock setup for my 55G tall tank. It is vertical, so it is 30 inches deep. I understand that I will need more intense lighting to penetrate 30 inches and I cannot for the life of me understand these lighting parameters and what is or is not enough.
I have some leathers, shrooms, zoas, and some frogspawns and want to stick to these types of corals. I am not really interested in SPS or other intense light source corals.
Keep in mind that my tank in vertical so I only have 20 inches in width to work with as far as a fixture goes.
So I am going to need a 20" fixture with enough power to penetrate 30" deep.
What are your suggestions?
