40b Cycling

Hi Folks, I finally got my 40b set back again and started cycling



I went with new 30ish lbs of Marco dry rock, BB with a piece of hdpe covering the bottom of the tank.



I put a dead shrimp in there a week ago in a mesh bag and its nearly gone now, Ammonia is higher than the test kit will test for, Nitrite is 0.3 and Nitrate is barely detectable.



At this point should I put another shrimp in? or take out what is left and ghost feed the tank some pellets? I'm thinking I have more than enough Ammonia atm, but from what I've been reading you don't want to take all sources of it away or the bacteria you're trying to cultivate might starve?
