So I messaged a few weeks ago with a huge algae problem. Well here is an update, and any advice or help would be greatly appreciate.
My tank parameters are stable and I have cut my water changes back to very small changes every three days to clear the sand. I blow the debris off the rocks with a turkey baster, but it seems to just grow on in front of my very eyes. I have tried to follow previous advice on here but I am at my wits end.
My parameters are: PH 8.2, Ammonia 0, Nitrate 0, Phosphate 0.04, Salinity 1.026, Calcium 460, Alkalinity 8.1. I use RODI water which TDS is 0. I clean the powerhead covers and the socks every day in RODI water. I am at an absolute loss as to why there is so much algae on the sand and rock and glass? I attach photos.
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
