I'm into saltwater for only a few months. Wow is it expensive.
Anyway, I have a 65g tank with live dead rock, a Aqueon sump, Reef Octopus skimmer and Pan World pump. 13' head height.
I have installed gate valves on both the drain and return. I cannot keep the water at the same level in the sump and getting very frustrated. If the level in the sump does not stay at the same level, the protein skimmer will not work properly.
What am I doing wrong. The water level drops below the 7" so I tweak the valve then it goes over 8' and i tweak the valve back and forth.
Help!
