Having no experience with precipitate, why did my mix do this?
SG is 1.012 @ 80º F. Mixed for nearly 24 hrs beginning with 80º DI water.
I really can't remember ever having precipitate. If I ever did, I don't remember.
MOISTURE
I know the main contributing factor...
...was using salt that had to be broken up some from moisture.
So to know next time this happens, for me or anybody else that may read this.
My question is, was it doomed to begin with?
or
Could I have prevented this by adding the salt slower and breaking it up
to a more consistant texture/size?
If it's doomed to begin with, save the water, toss the salt instead of both.
