So I have a bit of a ***** for a LFS owner... His wife is a very nice lady but him not so much. I come in only wanting to spend $50 at a time because I'm young and can't blow hundreds at a time and he wants to make sly little comments and not really seem to care that I'm there at all. Also constantly trying to upsell me these frags and corals that are all $150 and up some up to $400-$700. Personally I think he's nuts and I don't think that if I even had the money to blow that I could come off of anything more then maybe $100 for a piece of coral smaller than the palm of my hand.
Anyway I don't want just not go there because it's the only place within 50+ miles that's not a Petco or big chain.
So I would like to know of any good sources to be able to identify corals better and know when this guy is just blowing smoke up my rear. Hey what's the zoa there with the 5 heads "That's a designer zoa. It's a baby blue super electricly radioactive supertonic amazingly awesome purple extra lighting zoa. That's a $200 piece" (alright I know that's a little exaggerated ) but that's seriously how it seems ever time this guy opens his mouth.
