BEST hob skimmer? 40G

i have a magus hob protein skimmer it worked great till last week and now all it does is rapidly fill up with bubbles and overflow I've taken it completely apart and cleaned everything so there is no clog anywhere and it still does the same thing any help would be great

should i just buy a new one? if so whats the best for a 40 g?
