Being the noob here I have been doing a lot of reading and several topics here take sump flow in consideration.
What is considered too much?
I have a 90 gallon display and a 30 gallon 3 chamber sump that has been recently moved to my basement with about 8 feet of head. I was able to pick up a Little Giant 3 mdqx-sc to get the head pressure and flow accomplished- if specs on my pump are accurate that should work out to be about between 500 and 600 GPH. To me it seems like the flow though my sump now is waaaay too much and I'm mulling over putting in a smaller pump to reduce the flow rate through the sump.
I'm not out a lot of money if I change out the pump. I only dropped $25 on it.
Thoughts? Thank you!
