So because of my silicone breach, I went out and bought a new tank and I decided to upgrade to a 29 gallon tank. To get my 24 inch light to fit on the 30 inch long new tank I took 1 inch by 1 inch by 19 feet wooden blocks and cut them to fit the rim of the tank and set the light on those.
I added a different kind of sand too. Considering I was out of my old sand, I went and got 40 lbs of live Fiji pink sand. I really like it so far.
And within the considerably longer and greater depth tank I was able to create a nice aquascape that I'm very content with and the fish seem to love ! Everyone is happy :)
It's still a little foggy but over all I think this has been a success.
