Stockman standpipe Silent?

I am designing my overflow for my frag tank and am trying to figure out a single drain solution that will be quiet. I hear that the stockmans standpipe is quiet but never seen one.



I know that its not "safe" to have an emergency drain but there should be nothing to clog my drain because I wont have any snails or anything in the system. and I will have a lid for my overflow so fish cant get in. Such as my six line wrasse
