So I am thinking I may do a water change in the next day or so since my Nitrates are a little high.(40) ppm but my question is really about the sand.. Do I do anything with that? I thought I was going to vacuum the bottom but now with the CUC I guess I don't need to do that...right? Or do I gently try to do that?
And what is recommended for a water change with high Nitrates? Once it normalizes I was going to do it every 2 weeks. I have read weekly about 20%. I have also read ever 2 weeks is fine if my parameters are good but since I have high Nitrates I will do it weekly for now. make scence?
