Hello and help!

Ok so let me start off by introducing myself, my name is Chris, I'm a chef in eastern North Carolina and with the little free time I have I enjoy hanging out with my fiancé, scuba diving and anything relating to saltwater, wrecks, coral and fish. I have wanted a reef tank for as long as I can remember and my awesome mom bought me a 55 gallon tank a month or so ago. Since then I have been scraping together what extra money I could that my impending wedding hasent consumed haha, and put together a system.

Now for the questions/ issue...

I set the tank up 5 days ago and began my cycle, because of my obsession with this hobby I have read and researched for a long time, and recently found out that I still don't know sh@t. Everything I thought was going great until I got home tonight. I have weird white/black mold looking stuff on some of my live rock. It was bought fully cured and brought home in saltwater from the lfs that is literally 1/4 mile from my house. I have held the tank between 78.9-79.9 degrees since the initial fill and heating. I used lfs ro/di saltwater and top off with ro/di water. I'm including my parameters from tonight's testing. And the best pictures my iPhone will take. Please help me I can't figure out what I could have done in 5 days to screw up this tank.

Salinity- 1.025

Ph- 8.2

Alk- 8 dKH/ 2.9 meq/l

Ammonia- 1.2

Nitrites- .1

Nitrates- 2

I don't have a phosphate test kit yet but plan on getting one Wednesday when I'm off. For some reason I have a feeling this is related to that... Also, the suspect rock was the stuff that came from the lfs.

Thanks in advance guys.
