So I have some green hair algae growing in a few areas on my crushed coral substrate in my new 20g long. It's only been up for 3 weeks so it's still part of the new tank uglies.
However, I was curious on how people clean the algae off the crushed coral and if it would be advisable to just remove the areas that have the algae and replace it with new crushed coral (I have extra sitting around).
Or would adding in new crushed coral, add more phosphates and just continue the problem?
