Needing advice on my tank

Hey, I'm new here. 3 years ago we were given a tank and set up..we been operating it as a saltwater tank ever since. We have a 30 gallon tank. A light bar, and I believe the filtration system is a hang on the back marineland emperor 400. I think it's a 60 gallon filter. We have 2 power heads, heater, live sand, live rock. We had about 10 snails and 10 crabs, a goby fish and 2 clown fish. They are the percula clowns. 1 of them was drastically larger than the other. As I said, we've had this set up 3 yrs. This week our largest clown was found lying in the sand. I think we have about 2 crabs left. The others and snails died a year ago, and we never restored them. I can't find the goby at all, I've looked. My questions are......1) will my single clown be ok alone or can I add another clown.

2) my tank has lately been taken over by worms, I can't stand them things. How do I did the tank of them. I was told by another forum to cut the food supply and I think I starved that clown death. (Shame on me)

3) with 1 fish left, not sure which direction to go with my tank. I'd love to go with live corals or something in that area, but I know the lights, /filtration need upgrading.... any thoughts on what I can add to this tank. It's getting boring looking with 1 fish. My kids asked about seA horses but I know that's not possible, also they asked about star fish or something.
