Water storage

Hi i purchased a 125 gallon tank in the middle of December. The guy I bought it from also gave me all the water that was in it and I stored it in Buckets from Lowe's with lids. I know that's a lot of buckets. My question is I just got my floors supported and I am ready to put the water in the tank. Will this water still be good or should I start fresh. I'd hate to think I wasted all that money on all those buckets for nothing... :arg: Thanks for any and all advice and answers..
