Dosing kalk and skimmer

hi, im dosing kalk into my 30 gallon reef tank,( gravity fed once a week, 1 drop per sec.) corals are fine and level is good. I drip into the wave maker flow which goes right into the protein skimmer motor on other side of tank. my question is by dripping into skimmer intake, does the kalk get dissipated or broken down by the bubbles or does the skimmer have no effect on it whatsoever? would it be better to drip into outlet of skimmer? thank you
