Terpenoids and sps tank

I've been doing a lot of research on Acropora lately trying to get more of an idea of the best way to care for my sps tank. I read online that soft corals can release terpenoids into the water which can stunt growth. I have a nepenthea coral in my tank and now I'm worried that it's damagin my Acropora. I'm probably just a bit paranoid, my tank isn't even a year old yet so I'm trying to find a reason for the sps not growing very quickly, but there's probably nothing wrong.
