Sly's Tank Update! (and, surprise, a question)

HEY GUYS!

sorry, got a little excited there lol. So, I want to thank the community for their patience and help through my endeavor with my tank. It is coming along nicely. I put my salt and rocks and sand in, and then there was that heater debacle. So, got that fixed and now my pH, salinity and heat is all perfect.

Last week, I threw clams from Kroger in my tank. Why did I do that you ask? Wel, I was talking to one of the life support managers at my aquarium and he said that a good way to jump start the nitrogen cycle in my tank is to throw sone regular old living (or dead) seafood into my tank before I put any animals in. So, I threw in two clams, and, lo and behold they are actually thriving! Turns out the clams I got came from the gulf of mexico and enjoys warmer water and the salinity.

now, they are doing fine. So today, I bought my first set of live rock, three large pieces of live rock for about 80 bucks total (a STEAL) from this aquarium shop I frequent. Now, I am wondering something....should I start water changing now? Continue my regular ammonia and pH testing?

thanks again, guys!

PS) the pH test I have is incredibly hard to read. I may just be color blind lol any tips?
