Hi everyone, my first ever post, but I've been lurking for a while.
I've just had a 45 Gallon tank given to me by my father-in-law, as I've slowly been collecting things to make up a marine tank and he found it in his garage from about 10 years ago.
Basically I've picked up an LED light for cheap (very, looking at the RRP), but I'm worried it may be too strong.
The light is a "Pro Grow 400X", it has blue, red, UV and white LEDs, but it's 400W, or ~200W on either blue or red mode.
Would that light be overkill or would it be OK?
I'd be looking to have corals, but that's months away so just wanted to check ahead of time so I can sort it out if it's wrong.
