Rock OK to use?

So, I'm ready to set up my 90 gallon for the cycling process, and I have a question about the rock I want to use in it. I have a 40 gallon tub filled with base rock. Mostly larger rocks, they have been in there a couple months with water that is a little under room temperature. Would they be ok to go ahead and place in the tank? I was planning to pre scrub them with a brush just in case of anything attached to them that would affect the aquarium.
