Protein Skimmer Help

Hey there guys,

So i have an 85 gallon system that I plan on setting up as a reef tank. I just need help in choosing a Protein skimmer to go into my sump. It is a three chamber sump and will have the skimmer in the middle which will fit any size skimmer just about (yes to the two I'm asking about). I have about 250 for a skimmer BUT a fish store near me has a bubble Magus NAC9 for $220 that they claim is new but it looks used to me. I have also been looking at Craigslist and there is a Aqua Maxx EM200 that the guy says he used for three months and looks brand spanking new for $200.

I would like to pick one up before the other option is gone. I have heard though from reading up on the Bubble Magus NAC9 that people have had problems with the 1/3 Due to High Damage rate on the needle impeller for a high claim and warranty, we will not in stock again on the NAC9 for future... taken from a website that used to sell the bubble magus NAC9. Both have no problems but I wasnt sure if anyone on here has either and can give me some information about either with noisiness, durabilty, ect.

The Aqua Maxx Em200 retails at 349.99 and the BM NAC9 retails at 399.99.

Looking forward to getting some responses and hope to decide sometime soon so I can start my tank up.

Thanks,

Gary
