Hello everyone, I am very new to the salt world and need help!
Recently purchased everything required to get my tank up and running and ready for first cycle. Tank is 75 gallon built in overflow. I have a question about order of filters in the sump...
1. Should I pass water through my UV sterilizer before it hits the sump?
2. My sump includes pad filter, bio ball chamber and area for a sit in sump skimmer. It is a bit crowded when I set my return pump (mac12) in with the skimmer (octopus SSS). Anyone run into problems with a HFR return pump next to skimmer?
3. I have a spare 25 gallon tank, so is it worth it to build a separate sump for uv sterilizer and skimmer with possible refugium ?
Have done a lot of research but new to this so I do not want to get in over my head.:read::read:
