Just got into the reefing hobby as of march 21st, and have been using the site for information so figured i shuld create a log in. I have a 29 gallon tank with a fluval 306 filter, a turbo twist 3x uv sterilizer, standard led lights that came with the tank, standard thermometer, 30 lbs of live sand, 28 lbs of live rock, 4 damsels 2 all yellow, one yellow fin blue damsel, and one black and white (all of which i can return to my local fish store as they allowed me to use them for cycling, 20 snails mix of nassarius, trochus and ceriths, 2 cleaner shrimp, and one mushroom coral.
with the uv sterlizer in place as of 20 minutes ago, i was looking to either add led lights, a gyre x130, or a protein skimmer (i dont know if i do need one or not as ive seen from various sources online that tanks under 40 gallons may not benfefit from one) as im setting out to create my first reef tank. Thanks for the help guys, i appreciate any comments or feedback!
