New plan coming together!

My last tank was a 150 that was fairly well integrated into the house with a separate equipment closet in the garage and some nice features. We went on vacation for a couple weeks and I came back to a dead tank. The person we hired to take care of it didn't and let it go. At that point I didnt have the heart to start over. Pretty much wiped me out. Now I have moved several states away and have started a new chapter in life. And once again the reef infection has returned so here I am....

The new plan is for a 6'x36" peninsula tank with a focus on large total volume and simplicity in regards to electronics and what not. A large skimmer, CA reactor, good lights and gobs of flow via return on an Oceans Motions 4 way pushing somewhere around 2000gph and a CLS which will run down a PVC line the center of the tank and also serve to support the rock, but also two returns for open water flow. This CLS design will keep things clean under the rock and is a method I used on the 150. It will likely be pushed by something along the lines of a Barracuda or similar high volume pump, maybe bigger. I would like to maybe get up around 7000gph on this one.

I went BB last time but will run a shallow bed this go around. It will be an SPS dominant system and I do plan to have a fairly heavy bio load this go around as well as heavy feeding (hence the gymondo skimmer).

For lighting I like the looks and LED but the MH are still likely to be my final choice with good reflectors.

The overflow will be a smooth lipped coast to coast running most of the 36" width at one end of the tank and will drop into a separate compartment so as not to intrude or be visible in the tank. Two 2" drains with HGBs will take care of getting the water to the sump. The smooth lip will provide for much better surface skimming as opposed to the typical tooth design. I will use some kind of plastic screen to prevent suicidal fish and critters from getting into the overflow box.

The sump will likely be a 100 gallon stock tank and I plan on a quarantine and frag tank as well but those details are yet to be sketched.

I have a draft of the tank done in SketchUp but dont know how to attach the file (not a tech kinda guy)
