Hello everyone,
So i noticed on a new small acro colony I have that some of the tips seem to be turning white, however I cannot determine if it is potentially alk burn or growth.
Also, I've noticed that my Alk numbers seem to be creeping higher towards the end of my water change cycle (by day 7 since the last water change).
3/8/15- Alk: 7 Calc:390
3/15/15 - Alk:9.6 Calc:400
4/1/15 - Alk:10.4 Calc:400
So two quesitons, first of all. Based on the picture, do you think this is alk burn or growth? And also, how would I go about lowering the alkalinity without water changes?
I have kent 2 part available to me, would adding part 1 and testing the Alk lower it? Or is it okay the my Alk begins to creep up by the end of the water change cycle.
Let me know what you think! Thanks!
