Replacement RO/DI Filters

I need to replace my filters and resin on my Spectrapure 90GPD. I looked on Spectrapure website and the two filters .5 carbon and .5 sediment are over $50. I contacted BulkReefSupply and they said their filters would fit. I couldn't find .5 micron filters on the site so I contacted them again. They recommended a "stepped" approach by using a 5 micron sediment and a .6 micron carbon block.



Does this sound right to anyone? And does anyone have experience with these filters? Here is are the links from BRS:
