Quarantine cycle help using ammonia

Ok this isn't meant to spark a debate and yes I've googled the day lights out this. The dead shrimp method in my DT didn't produce much ammonia and I had 10lbs of like rock to help cycle that tank.

My QT is 37 gallons, two hydor powerheads and a 75 watt heater. Temp is 76, sg 1.026 and I dosed to 4ppm ammonia with ace ammonia. I had a bottle of dr tim's lying around (30 gallon size) I threw in for the heck of it and to get rid of. After 10 days I had no readings of nitrite or nitrates.

I wasn't expecting any miracles with tims just wanted to get rid of it. I added about 6 pieces of live rock rubble from my DT sump (4 months old and each the size of a golf ball). I also have two pieces of filter media (no carbon) in there. They are about 6"x2"x2" and are sitting on the bottom.

Clearly something is growing as I have little brown fuzz on my powerheads (no lights on during cycle as it is my QT). It's been 19 days and my ammonia isn't budging and I'm still seeing no nitrites. I've read I should read some around the two week mark.

Am I missing something? I'm aware 6-8 weeks is a normal cycle time but it seems I should be at least reading nitrites.
