My new 75 gallon reef tank is almost done, but I'm having the hardest time regulating the water level in my sump! I have 1" in and out flow, both have ball valves. The inflow is restricted 1/4 of the flow because if not, it blasts everything in the sump and fills my protein skimmer up with bubbles. The outflow valve is my problem. I can adjust the flow until it appears that the water flow is stable, walk away, come back in five minutes, and the water level has dropped. I adjust the ball valve just a HAIR, come back in five minutes, and it's risen! I'm so fed up at this point I want to put my foot in it and be done with it. Don't know what else to do! Anyone have and suggestions?
