Hey Guys,
Ok, just posting my next project. I have a dedicated 30 Gallon Mandarin Tank that I had set up to feed adult brine shrimp to a male mandarin and two scooter dragonets I had for close to a year. Due to a bad fish purchase, I lost my mandarin due to a brook outbreak.
I currently have the two scooters and two new mandarins in a quarantine tank while the 30 gallon goes fishless for a while to let the brook die off, and, while the two new mandarins have slowly been getting converted to alternate foods (currently they are eating live grindal worms and micro worms, as well as baby brine shrimp and amphipods, but only minor sporatic luck with getting them to eat frozen.
I am still working on converting the mandarins to frozen foods, but, to help keep them nice an fat in the 30 gallon, I started a new project of setting up two tank level copepod factories on either side of the main tank.
Just thought to post my project. The pictures should explain the setup, but, if there are any questions, I'll try and answer. Also, everything is set on electric socket timers as follows:
Led Lights: On at 7:00am, off at 11:00pm
Air bubbler: Not on timer, always on
Left and Right Water Pumps: On at 10:00am, off at 10:01am, on at 6:00pm, off at 6:01pm (this feeds a total of 1 gallon of water from each pod factory per day)
Tanks just got seeded with about 150 tisbe pods and 2000 tigger pods per tank. Will see how it goes.
Pics attached showing setup.
