After breaking down our relatively new tank for a move, we are finally getting our display tank back up and running. I have managed to keep 100lbs of live rock on life support in a large Tupperware bin since December, which has become a breeding ground for brittle stars, pods and GHA lol... Our original stand was showing signs of bowing from our first leak test a few months ago, and now my wife and I have received an all aluminum stand as a gift from my loving in-laws. We took advantage of the last dollar-per-gallon sale for our 55g fuge, and at long last everything is coming together. We are using foam weather stripping for leveling the tank, although if the stand itself were not already flawless we would have gone with 1/4 inch foam board. I have the sump sit into 3 parts, the skim/intake, fuge, and return. We are getting the last baffle cut with skim teeth tomorrow, after which we will place the display tank on the stand and begin plumbing the overflow and return. I am working on posting pics, but so not see the option to, maybe someone can show me the rope for posting pics? we're so excited to see this tank running again!!!
