Settling tanks.

I drew up plans for a settling tank on the side of my sump, came home today and realized I don't have room.



So has anyone tried using a rectangle box as a settling tank? Think it could be possible? I'm thinking maybe the liner from an industrial ice maker, how it's got the angle to it at the bottom. It would sit above my sump and pull out like a dresser drawer for easy removal and cleaning.
