50 gal saltwater tank
I have a new aquarium set up that has been cycling for 2 weeks now and the ammonia has not reached higher than 0.25 ppm. The first week it never reached above 0. I left raw shrimp in it for 3 days which is the only reason that is slightly spiked, but I test the waiter daily and ammonia has never gone above .25 and trite and trate still at 0.
It has 45lbs of live rock from an established store tank as well as plenty of live sand. I recently read that with the live rocks and sand that it may not be necessary to cycle it. I just want some opinions. Am I ready to add livestock?
