Skimmer help.

Ok so I have a vertex Omega 150 skimmer. It's been giving me fits lately and I found the issue. There was a tiny chunk of plastic on the skimmer return where the adjustments are made. I am going to try to fix it with Teflon tape when I get home. Something so small causing so much trouble! I cleaned the skimmer. Took everything apart and the skimmer looks pretty again.



My question is can I run vinegar through my skimmer pump? I wanted to clean it while it's out of the tank. It's a sicce pump. I forget the model#. The pump saysVertex V130. I think the model of the pump is a psk1000 or something like that. It's made specifically for Vertex. But it's a Sicce pump. I know where I can find the information, but I have very limited time today to fix this. I have a family Christmas and a funeral and then I can get to the skimmer. I only have about an hour after that to work on this. I wanted to leave the skimmer pump run in the solution overnight. The skimmer and tank are not at my house. I can't exactly be caught on my phone researching skimmer stuff while I am at both. i did a quick search and it yielded no results. Any help would be great! I normally wouldn't ask for this, but I have a community of fellow reefers that loves to help others!
