Hello everyone! I have been battling with nitrates for a very long time. I believe this accounted for the deaths of my SPS and clams.
I tried chaeto/vodka dosing/feeding less/and other methods and it never brought my nitrates down 80ppm (API) and 50mg/l (Sera).
So yesterday I finally installed my DIY biopellet reactor and today XPORT NO3. I know that the XPORT NO3 shoulnd't have any major impact but with the biopellets alone I noticed a drop from 80 ppm to 40 ppm (API) and 25mg/l (Sera), my wife verified with me on the colors.
Hopefully this continues to go down the next few weeks so I can finally start my mix reef. I know this is REALLY really soon I just hope it works out. What are other opinions, is it too good to be true?
