Hello,
Until now the only coral I've tried fragging is Xenia. Today I took the plunge and cut off a crescent shape from the Sarcophyton toadstool and a few "fingers" from the Devil's hand. And whilst I was at it, a branch of Kenya tree.
I did this by placing the corals in a tub of tank water and making the cuts with a clean pair of scissors, then I rinsed them with R/O water before returning the mother corals to the tank. I secured the frags to rocks with elastic bands and put them in a low flow area.
Here is the result, all frags (Even the mother corals) started to open up a few hours after the procedure.
Sarcophyton, two frags:

Devil's hand, two frags. This coral was the most difficult because it produced great quantities of slime when cut:

Kenya tree, one frag. Bigger than I thought it'd be, you can barely see the large shell it's in:

Mother corals before cutting:

Do the frags look healthy to you guys? I'm planning on donating them to a few fellow hobbyists in the area. I mainly did this as a learning experience (And trust me, it felt painful to cut up my precious corals!). Please inform me if I did anything wrong.
