Deleting photos

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I couldn't find it in a search even though it seems like kind of a basic question.

Is there a way to take photos out of the gallery? I'm really bad at uploading so I have a bunch of redundant pics and wrong sized ones. I feel bad that they are taking up server space but I can't figure out how to remove them.
